Four Types of Benefits

Retirement

Workers who have worked for a sufficient number of years are eligible for retirement at age 62.

Survivor

If you are the surviving spouse or minor child or a worker who qualified for SS retirement.

Disability

If you have not reached retirement age but have met the work requirements and are considered disabled under the SS Administration program’s medical guidelines.

Family

If you are eligible for disability or retirement benefits, your current or divorced spouse, and minor children may receive benefits.
